![]() ![]() Desai is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Real Estate Group and President and Chief Operating Officer of the Brookfield REIT. She also serves on the board of directors of the United Way of New York City. Bidwell serves as a committee member of the Real Estate Roundtable, NAREIT, the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives, and several other industry groups. Bidwell holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws degree from University College London. Bidwell was an associate at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Clifford Chance, where she represented private equity funds and public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, restructurings, and fund structuring. Previously, she was responsible for oversight of the global mergers and acquisitions tax team in the Real Estate Group and structuring of Brookfield’s global real estate funds. In this role, she is responsible for strategic tax planning and structuring across the asset management business, tax structuring across all Brookfield private funds, and tax-related legislative and regulatory initiatives. Anguiano earned a Master of Philosophy from Cambridge University and a Bachelor of Science from the London School of Economics.Ĭarolyn Bidwell is Head of Tax for Brookfield’s Private Funds Group and Head of U.S. Anguiano started his career at JP Morgan Cazenove on the sell side. Anguiano worked at Arcus Infrastructure Partners and Babcock & Brown focusing on direct infrastructure investing. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2015, he worked for Santander in Madrid where he was in specialty sales covering infrastructure and utilities. Anguiano’s past experience includes both direct and listed infrastructure investing, and he has spent the majority of his career in London. Before focusing on his portfolio manager duties, he was responsible for covering European securities focusing on the water, transportation and energy infrastructure sectors. In this role, he oversees and contributes to the portfolio construction process, including execution of buy/sell decisions. Leonardo Anguiano is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager on the Infrastructure Equities team for Brookfield’s Public Securities Group. Carney holds doctorate and master’s degrees from Oxford University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University. He is also an external member of the Board of Stripe, a member of the Global Advisory Board of PIMCO, the Group of Thirty, Harvard University, Rideau Hall Foundation, Bilderberg, the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, the boards of Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Peterson Institute for International Economics the Hoffman Institute for Global Business and Society at INSEAD, Cultivo, as well as Senior counsellor of the MacroAdvisory Partners, Advisor of the Watershed, and Chair of Chatham House. He is a long-time and well-known advocate for sustainability, specifically with regard to the management and reduction of climate risks, and is currently the United Nations Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance and Co-Chair for the Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero. ![]() ![]() Carney worked at Goldman Sachs as well as the Canadian Department of Finance. He was Chairman of the Financial Stability Board from 2011 to 2018. Carney is an economist and banker who served as the Governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020, and prior to that as Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 until 2013. He is also the Head of Transition Investing and in this role, he is focused on the development of products for investors that will combine positive social and environmental outcomes with strong risk-adjusted returns.
